Six Foods to Increase Your Libido and Sex Drive

The human mind is complex and many factors determine your hormone levels. Some foods are considered aphrodisiacs, which get their name from the ancient Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, and increase sexual desire. To make things even better, we have a list of vegan aphrodisiacs that not only help your sex life but the planet as well! Here are six different vegan foods to increase your libido and sex drive.

1. Maca

This plant, native to Central Peru, has been used to treat different ailments. One thing it has been used to treat is sexual desire. According to Medline Plus, “Early research shows that taking a specific maca product daily for 12 weeks can increase sexual desire in healthy men.”

2. Pumpkin Seeds

Dr. Tasneem Bhatia, M.D., a weight-loss expert, and author of What Doctors Eat explains that “Pumpkin seeds are a great source of zinc, which boosts testosterone.” She goes on to say, “Not only is this great for men, but studies have shown women with high levels of testosterone have a greater sex drive.
