Range beauty is exactly what it sounds like. A beauty brand that has an inclusive range of shades for people of all skin tones. For so long in the beauty industry, people on the darker end of the spectrum have long been forgotten. This beauty brand aims to make sure nobody is left out with their 21 different shades. The best part about this brand – all of their products is made without chemicals and toxins! On their website, they say their products will never have “mineral oil, parabens, paraffin, petroleum, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances or talc.”
CEO Alicia Scott means business
In speaking with XoNecole, Founder and CEO Alicia Scott spoke about working as a makeup artist in the fashion industry. She remembers that black models brought their makeup because what was provided didn’t match their skin. Scott said, “This, in turn, made me look at my makeup collection which I found non-existent due to lack of shade range availability and my highly sensitive skin.” She continued saying, ” I knew I had to stop wondering why these brands couldn’t expand their shades and use non-toxic ingredients and decided to create the line myself.”
In her interview with XoNecole, Scott speaks about lessons on being an entrepreneur and what she is learning from being a business owner.
Today, her products are available online at RangeBeauty.com and at the Lola.
