ASOS Uses Different Size Models To Model Clothes

When it comes to size inclusivity, this is definitely a the right curve to turn on.
Shopping online runs the risk of not getting exactly what you paid for. ASOS, for one, has made strides to improve their customers experience and make sure they know what the clothes look like on every body type. They’ve already banned photoshopping on their models and have a popular plus-size line, now they’re taking it a step further. They are introducing photos of models with different body types wearing the same clothes.
By showing a dress, for example, on a size 2 model with a petite frame, a size 8 model with an athletic build and a size 14 model with a curvy frame, ASOS is helping their customers find the best pieces and make more informed choices regarding their purchases.
In a statement to Refinery29, an ASOS spokesperson said, “We’re always testing new technology that can make our customers’ experience even better. In this case, we’re experimenting how to show product on different size models, so customers can get a better sense of how something might fit their body shape.”
We’re so happy to learn that ASOS is continuing to make strides to be even more size inclusive. In addition to ASOS, we also applaud brands like Christian Siriano, Chromat, Missguided, ModCloth, Rue107 and Boohoo for their continued commitment to body positivity and size inclusivity.
Now if you’re ready to do some online shopping, head over to ASOS to check out the new feature. It will also soon be available on the ASOS app.
